‘On the occasion of Black History Month in Canada, it’s very important to salute those who have worked side-by-side with us to make all Canadians aware of the richness and variety of African-Canadian arts and culture. No one has done more than Craig Scott.
He has welcomed our ideas, offered guidance, nourishment and support of us as artists trying to navigate a complex journey toward finding our own place in the Canadian experience. Craig’s support of projects in visual and musical creation has provided opportunities for many, and his work with the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Suppliers Council (CAMSC) has opened key economic channels important for minority artists.
Craig Scott has stood up for the African-Canadian community time and time again, just as he has championed human rights for all minorities, and has been a teacher and mentor for hundreds of young people.
Craig Scott will be a terrific Member of Parliament. Join with us in making sure he is elected on March19.’
